Billie Razor Review

I like a smoooooooth leg. A nice smooth and moisturized leg. I’ve honeslty never put much thought into the type of razor I used. Sure when Venus came out with their chang-the-blade-keep-the-handle -razor, I was down for it.

I was living the cvs stop for razor refill life and I was cool with it. In the summer I had to most definitely shave my legs every other day. Pits errrry day. I absolutely despise when I see those little hairs growing under someone’s armpit in the summer. ESPECIALLY mine.

Okay, so that’s the way it’s been. Venus razor. I’ve always been a “skintimate” girl myself. Now don’t get me wrong I’ve seen those bright pink EOS bottles whilst strolling down the aisles of target. Something in me could never justify spending that extra money though. (Send me a message if you have ever used EOS shave gel and your thoughts!) Scrolling through the ol’ insta on quarantine and I see that same ad for the Billie Razor. I’ve now seen it a hundred plus times. Only for some reason, I don’t ignore it. Maybe it’s because this time some one is not shaving their big toe. Come on, advertising alone right there- you lose all customers with feet adversities. This girl right here, not about feet.

Let’s move on from that. I sign up for the razor. Pick my color, okay sure, pink or purple? Then $9 to sign up. That seems fair. Razor comes with 2 blades. Ok ermmm… how often do you want deliveries? So here I had to do a little math, how often did I need to change out the Venus blade? This I think is a safe assumption to make for anyone about 2-3 weeks. Unless your an everyday shave. Then maybe your nearing closer to 2 weeks. So I pick 4 blades delivered every other month for again $9. I’m sorry, I don’t think Venus can beat that price. I throw on the Billie brand shave gel for an additional $8 because if were in- let’s be all in.

Let’s FF a bit here… my razor comes finally in about a week. It’s got a little triangle shaped plastic piece that has double stick tape from 3M. This will easily stick to any shower tile and the inside of the razor magnetizes to it. I love that it came with extra back up 3M stickies. Yassss Billie.

First shower- amazing. Second shower -amazing. I love these blades. 5 blades. Count em’ 5! The blade itself is huge, it has to be close to double the Venus. This covers a bigger surface area making shaving slightly quicker. I have heard 2 sides; some people complaining of razor burn, some say this alleviated their razor burn. Everyone’s different. Pro tip: Don’t shave at the speed of light and you should be good.

Closeness of shave is amazing. I get an extra day out of each shave. On a regular old day 2, is now my leg hair on day 3. I call that a win.

I will add however that I didn’t think the shave gel did anything for me. I know it’s vegan and all that Jazz- which if you’re looking for a shave gel which is- this is one for you. I just felt it was slightly watery and the skintimate performed better. It’s cruelty free, paraben free and sulfate free. if that’s not your cup of tea, stick with whatever shave gel you like. This investment for the razor however, in my opinion is worth it.

I did not receive any monies for my opinion.
